Seoul - San Francisco

Find this place familiar?
Pier 39 of Fisherman's Wharf =)

Finally after a year i'm back!
Kind of miss the place, the weather, the shopping etc etc.
If you asked me, i would recommend San Francisco as one of the states' good-to-go destination.

And i have to agree with someone, that San Francisco is one of the most vibrant and romantic city.
There's a lot of music buskers around the busiest streets, which makes the city pulsates with a kind of vigor, so refreshing that spurs me to want to keep discovering. And imagine, dinning in a nice place (in my case, Cheesecake Factory), enjoying the good food and soaking in the chilly, misty evening where the fog hung low over the tall buildings, I just feel like falling in love again. *Haiz*

Anyway,
The same shop with the Christmas decor i took with last September.

The Magnetron shop.

Just love looking at all those fascinating magnets.

And i like these with all the funny/ meaningful captions.

This was the Golden Gate Bridge i took last year in September.

And this, is the one i took a few days ago at the exact same spot.

Now i know what they mean by thick fog.
Hiak~ We'll nv get to see that in Singapore, if we do, that may be just the coming of the world's end =/

*Walking on the clouds*

On the cable car tram to Lombard street.

The crookedest road in the world: the Lombard street.

Because of its 8 sharp turns on a 40 degree slope, for cars to manage the steep incline back in the olden days.

By 2 plus in the afternoon, the fog has pretty much clear and thus the good view of the city layout.

And the damage yet again.

It's San Francisco, where we stay right smack in the middle of the happening shopping district. Most of us are more excited about shopping than sight seeing. =9

But i still make an effort to go out. Still no luck with Alcatraz. I should have drop notes to the people (those whom i've flown with b4, and were the reasons why i change for this Seoul-San Francisco) and organize the trip. Wasted.

Haiz...

Back in Seoul.

Ice cream fever @ Myong Dong on the clear day, with the incredible company.

Loads of crap together. Best company i've had.

It's funny how some of the sisters i've met, added such chemistry to the dynamics of the crew. Some of them has a pretty good sense of humor, but of course majority dirty ones.

And our sister wants a make-over! =P

Though we attracted lots of weird stares, we just heck it cos we're afterall just 'tourists'.

Korean's a make-up/skincare heaven for ladies. The poor guys were bored stiff, as the girls zoomed in and out of 1 beatuy house after another.
The cheap-skate Americanized "Ah Bengs" who only 'beg' for a quarter, which is 25cents.

One reason why i'm starting to fall in love with Korean food's cos the Beef Bugogi is yummy! And lots of side dishes too! Simple yet sumptous.

The 2 main reasons why i change flight are here in the photo with me, savouring our last lunch together after 7 days of fun. =...(

****************
Looking forward to a next good one again.

Just got back from a course on wine appreciation.

Dry, but Cool.

Least now, when i pick my wines (my dad likes them), i won't just go by the price tags =P

But learning how to appreciate wine ain't easy as i thought. If i ever in my lifetime, master it, one of my future career options can include being an agriculturist. A lot of it is about the soil, sun and climate factors. Back to the basics.

Also met quite a number a 863-ers today, all going back for different courses. We're like magnets, naturally suck together during breaks and lunchtime. I realized, after speaking to a few neighbouring batches people, that we are quite a blissful and cohesive bunch. I am really proud of that.

=)

**********

Will be jetting off to Seoul-San Francisco tmr.

Been looking forward to it. For all the shopping i NEED to do =9

Which is why i'm hesitant to contact Shawna... Plus, i doubt she'll remember much about me, cos i wasn't really 1 of their GF-group some dinosaur time ago, due to certain complicated human relationship thingy. LOL.

Anyway, i know enough people on this coming flight to keep me occupied =9 Which is pretty rare.

Til then.

Sydney

You won't be believe that after 4 times to Sydney, I've never summon enough energy to get to the Sydney Opera House or the Darling Harbour, when it is only 10-15 mins walk or train ride away.

The furthest i've got to, was the Woolsworth supermarket 1 street down or the Supre boutique across the street. Wasted.

Finally, this time I managed to pyscho someone to go with me, using Pancakes on the Rocks as the carrot ;P

And this is how sua ku i am, cos i never knew that Austrialia, has double-deck trains plying their cities! Cool...

Took a very brief look at the night scenery of the Sydney Opera House, i think i might just go back again during the day time. Pretty nice place. Provided if i get the chance.

Yeah! Been thinking about Pancakes on the Rocks after Yun mentioned last year.
Only til now...

*Yummy*
Was told that Brisbane has 2 Pancakes on the Rocks joint near where we are staying too... Hmmmm.... Yet another reason why i look forward to Brisbane =P

Taipei - LA

All the great company and generally good set of crew;

All the Shabu Shabu, Dim Tai Fung and Pai Ku Fan (aka Pork Ribs Rice);

Plus the incredulous ShiLin Night market and many of such;

And top it off with all the appetizing, out-of-the-world delicacies,

Are the reasons why i've already set my mind to return to Taipei for a Eat-and-Shop only break. Can't wait to have the Big Big Fried Chicken Chop (Da Da Ji Pa) again ;P

Not to mention, the pleasure the retail therapy over there brings =)

Zouk

Never been to Zouk so early before, all for the free entry and free booze.
The party was so-so, but this Friday's music rocks! For a change, i actually prefer the Trance to the R& B at Phuture.

Great night, in great company of my bestie ex-teamgirl and gacyfish.

A Tribute to Wendy

A girl with that striking blue eyeshadow and such loud pink rouge, walked soulessly passed me with her tight bun pointed towards the ceiling and eyes on the floor, during peak hour at Bugis.

Blimey, it was reeeally scary.

Had i not known where she was coming from (i.e. STC), i will call and check if the mental institute has let loose a SG version of Ru-Hua.

Which draws me back to a year and 5 months ago when we started at training school. All the same hideous make-up i was talking about, the travelling time together, the breaks we always look forward to etc etc. It seems like yesterday we were just having classes together.

Time really flies. Now that you've had your last, there wouldn't be flights i can look forward to fly with you.

I'm still glad i met your in LA, though it was only breakfast.

Thanks babe, for making my time at STC so much more memorable.
Thanks for being a great friend.
Thanks for being so understanding and supportive.
Thanks for all your genuine concern.
Thanks for your terrific company, i enjoy it all the time.

I'm gonna miss you dearly babe =)
