Firenze

Morning call @ 6am to rush for the 07 55 EuroStar train headed for Firenze a.k.a Florence, the next day.

The all-female "tour group" plus the only man, the photographer.

After a long 2hrs and 45mins south of Milan, we arrived in Florence which is currently the peak of tourist season. Lots of Japanese and Chinese tourists. We were very often mistaken as the Nihonjin neh~

Getting lost around the town. Interesting bazaar, spotted some interesting stuff but too bad no time to stop and look. As we were searching for the Galleria dell' Accademia which holds the famous work of Michelangelo - the statue of David.

Decided to settle for an early lunch after we saw the queue for the Galleria stretches a few streets. No time to waste for that.

Parma ham and Melon = Slurps~
More getting around on foot after lunch.

Florence is actually very easy to get around on foot or bicycle, as the maps are quite detailed.

Florence's Duomo. Just as Majestic.

First time on a city bus. Cost 20 Euro for a day pass for unlimited hop-on rides.
On route A, as we cruised around the city as well as the hilly private estates across the river, offering a breath-taking view of Florence town.

The fake David's statue overlooking the entire Florence town opposite the Fiume Arno river.

The Ponte Vecchio.

On route B bound for the Firesole town up the hills near to Florence.
En route, the scenery was filled with forest, rolling fields and european cottages.
Firesole, the town dates all the way back to the 6th B.C.

The pictures aren't really nice but i love the rides on the roof-less coach. If time permits, we would love to take the buses for a few more spins. However, however, there's always a train to catch.
Simply love the wind-swept feeling.
