Johannesburg

No Lions at all. *Hmph*

Which means i've gotta find kaki again for the next trip to the Lion's Park.

Jio-ing people can be quite a chore, cos most of the seniors have already been-there-done-that. Even some of the newbies would rather R&R than to go out...

After much persuasion by me, my only kaki to Pilanesberg. Although the price's rather steep, we just want to cover and that's it, i mean for one park.

The first big 5 we saw. Rhinoceros.

Elephants was the other Big 5 we caught. No signs of the buffalos, Lions and Cheetahs. Guess all the predators cooling themselves under big trees, far away from the main roads.

The best we could get of the Hippos are these. Stationary lumps of fats =P

More of such landscapes, but less of the animals.

It does feel like i am in the scenes we see on TV of the National Geographics or Animal Planet channels.

Thought this will be the highlight of the trip even though we didn't catch sight of any predators at all. Mating Giraffes! (to-be)

The male was jumping onto the female from behind when our van came to a halt, and everyone in the van had like adrenaline rush, thinking we'll be in for some action. But in a strangely human way, the giraffes stopped and kind of "lose interest" in sex when they knew their privacy was being invaded by us. LOL.

I managed to capture the male giraffe's eraction in the above pic, before it went down soon.
*sianz*

Lunch @ Bakubung Game Lodge. I think it is one of the Time Share's location. Very beautiful scenery indeed, but really out of the way manz.

With that, i think they hold weddings too. One of my ideal settings.

Organizer made a 1 hour plus pitch stop at Suncity.

Couldn't find a more boring place. Casinos everywhere and we lost 10 African Rands.

Their local pasar malam.

Orchard road music buskers in training.

Pretty sunset as the van races back to Johannesburg, which is almost 2 hours away.

Honestly i am not a safari person. Don't particularly fancy shrubs and more shrubs.
